Hydration reaction

The new cement blanket can use salt water or non-salt water to achieve hydration reaction. The minimum weight ratio of water to cement blanket is 1: 2. Cement blankets do not cause excessive hydration reactions, so it is always recommended to use excess water. Water can be sprayed on the fiber surface multiple times until the cement blanket reaches saturation. Because the cement blanket absorbs moisture, the color darkens first and then becomes lighter. When water accumulates or flows down on the surface, it indicates that the cement blanket is saturated with water. After the initial hydration reaction, the cement blanket should be re-wet at least once between one and two hours. In high temperature and dry weather, this is especially necessary, because the evaporation of water will cause the concrete to dry excessively.
